Attendance Recovery Options Newly Released Flier Outline

Posted Date: 11/02/26 (10:48 AM)

Dear Monte Vista Families and Community,

I know not everyone scrolls down in my weekly newsletter to read my weekly Attendance Updates as well as options for attendance recovery. Last week was our lowest week of the year due to a wave of sicknesses. However, we can bounce back like we always do! MPUSD just recently released a new beautifully designed outline that summarizes the differences between different ways to recover absences and avoid truancy and/or excessive excused absences as well.

I will be reaching out to families this week who are falling in the moderate to severe tiers of absences, but I do hope this resource is helpful to all families in general since we desire for everyone to be at a satisfactory level which is 95% and above (with below 90% considered chronic absenteeism).

Please reach out if you have any questions around these options for past, present, or future absences. Also, we still have room on our rolls for one of our after school tutoring recovery program too.
