MPUSD Hosts COVID-19 Town Hall

The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District welcomes students, families, and staff back from Winter Break. The California Department of Public Health has released updated guidance regarding COVID-19, and the district will host a Town Hall to provide an overview, as well as address questions from the community.

Welcome Back: Return to School COVID Testing Information

Superintendent PK Diffenbaugh shares with families the importance of getting tested before returning back to school on Wednesday, January 5. Take a moment to listen to his message, as well as where you and your family can pick up testing kits or to have a test administered at our Cabrillo Family Resource Center.

Open Enrollment for Elementary and Middle School Opens January 5

Open Enrollment for grades Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade is now open for the 2022-2023 school year. This period is the only time to request a transfer from one school to another school within the district for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. If you wish to request a transfer you must complete a request form no later than Friday, February 4, 2022 for middle and elementary school.

Nov. 9 Board Retreat: Attendance Boundaries

The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District is evaluating and redrawing its school attendance boundaries for the 2022-2023 school year.

We welcome your participation in this process. You're invited to the November 9 Board of Education retreat to hear stakeholder feedback, provide community input, and learn more about the proposals for consideration.

Mark your calendars! Parent engagement is critical and we invite your participation and feedback at our 2021-2022 District Advisory Committee and District English Learner Advisory Committee meetings. Our District English Learner Advisory Committee serves in an advisory capacity on English learner programs and services.

Your child's health and well being is our top priority, and I want to update you on our current health mitigation efforts, as well as increased support we are working to provide in the coming weeks.
